REVIEWS FOR THE WRONG MAN:

"The Wrong Man" is a fascinating film, weaving a story that takes the audience on a wild ride, creating an intense conundrum that keeps filmgoers pinned to the screen. I have worked with James Lingwood on a number of projects, and know how he works at the script level, then transforms that onto the screen with all the nuance and intensity of the original storytelling. It will be a stunning experience for the audience.

Madeline Thompson, Script Consultant, Thailand

‘I was very impressed with how far the project had come when you pitched it to me again at the recent International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers in Dublin. Since then, you have made some crucial changes to the script, specifically realigning the male antagonist to a female antagonist in this fundamentally two-hander story. I feel this has now made this story a highly commercial project. I also like the new title, ‘The Wrong Man’.’

Kevin DeWalt, President, Minds Eye International

‘The Wrong Man is the kind of rare action thriller that is both entertaining and thought provoking.’

Ruth Atkinson, L.A. Script Consultant & Story Editor

After watching The Wrong Man as a professional, I must say that the director of this film has conceived the theme with supreme expertise. As you know, the world is terribly facing the issues of hate speech, racism and religion after the era of 9/11. The honourable director has full command over the subject and its treatment. The use of the light and shade show that the director has conceived every moment with imagination, creating atmosphere, and then shooting, which creates an impact of good and evil in the eyes and minds of viewers. The director of photography, sound recordist, lighting unit, selection of locations, and editing is done with utmost zeal and commitment. Selection of the actors is the asset of this film; their performances are that marvellous. The film has the capabilities of winning many of the international awards. I must congratulate all the team who worked hard and all the best for the success of the film.

Muhammad Fayyaz, Producer/Director, General Manager Pakistan Television Corporation

The Wrong Man is a cautionary tale about what can happen when the marginalised in our communities are ostracised and pushed too far. A theme extremely relevant in the current climate of the world's health crisis, economic recession, and heightening pressure on domestic and international borders. Visionary director, James Lingwood, has created a film of international scale with an extremely modest budget. Assembling some of the finest cast and crew in Queensland during a pandemic was no simple feat. The resourcefulness, ingenuity and creativity of Lingwood' steam is clearly on display in this powerful short film. The emotionally engaging and delicately constructed short film narrative nestles within it a much larger story ready for feature film adaptation. It is safe to say the expansion of this film's premise is one audiences will excitedly anticipate.

Kaushik Das, Producer, India and Australia

First of all, the video is wonderfully filmed! Just wow! The chase scene is absolutely amazing, I was watching like I was mesmerized. It's terrible to see such blunt injustice in life...And you did an amazing job of conveying that. Very cool find is the girl and the engagement ring. It makes the explosion even more terrifying. But now I really want to find out who they are and what happened at the end of the video. Where is she taking him? What is she going to do with him?

Galina Goldfield, Producer, Russia

‘There’s a lot to like about The Wrong Man – it’s a very topical and relevant story of redemption. The script is quite the thriller ride and much of its conflict is thought provoking.’

Lucy V Hay, UK Script Editor

First off, excellent job. Great production values. Nicely edited and directed. I reckon it does not get much better than this to say that you and your team can deliver the goods, re: feature length version. I think you have a really strong project here and with the right introductions and connections, a green light awaits you.

Martin Denny, Producer, Canada & Hong Kong

"GSAP is an excellent combination of great ideas, a well-knit team and a strong desire to deliver quality cinema to its audience. I wish them every success in their projects."
